Welcome to WRTG 213, Writing and the Sciences, at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

In this class we will read, learn, discuss, and write about the ways science is communicated through the written word in public and academic contexts. This Pressbook includes a number of readings, but you also will have an opportunity to research and write about science topics that interest you and/or are in your chosen major. The goal is that you will finish the semester with a greater confidence in and passion for reading and writing about the science in and around you, and in your academic and professional life.
